I founded A1Tech several years ago.
In 1997, my business partner and I created and launched www.freepolls.com. As
we expanded, it became apparent we needed to monitor our web servers. Microsoft IIS was
very unstable running active server pages with high volume, database driven sites. I wrote
A1Monitor to keep our freepolls servers alive. I turned it into shareware and that is how
i got into the shareware business. We grew freepolls.com and caught the eye of About.com, based in Manhattan.
They ended up acquiring us in June of 1999.
In the following two years, I spent a lot of time traveling between our St.Paul, MN office,
and New York City (I love it there).
In 2001, RankPeople.com was launched (a variation of hotornot.com).
I no longer work for About.com (which eventually shut down RankPeople.com)
Near the end of my work for About.com (some time in 2001), I wrote and released AdsGone Popup Killer.
That has been highly successful. There is a lot of competition lately, but AdsGone has some features
the other popup blockers do not.
Over the last few years, I have been working on making improvements to
AdsGone, A1Monitor, and other software listed here. We also
are launching into the software review business. Here's a dvd copy software review site

In 2005 or so, I wrote and launched www.cd-fulfillment.com. We offer cd and dvd fulfillment for companies
that sell electronic products, and need a way to produce cd's or dvd's on demand to be sent to their customers.
